We’ve been busy! What’s new?

Here are some highlights of the last couple of months:

*working on house projects–turned our Sunroom into a playroom for Kate, meaning no more toys in the living room! Less clutter! Yeah!!! We got our windows replaced, insulation blown into our home and a new furnace! Tons of work to get our home ready for appraisal so hopefully we can save some money each month!

*Visited friends in Columbus, Ohio while attending a conference, Xenos Summer Institute (Xenos.org) with some fellow New Hopers.  Check out Stuart Briscoe for some amazing teaching from the Word!

*Helped move a dear friend down to Mobile, Alabama so she could begin her adventure helping refugees in Mobile. Check out pictures on my Facebook account!

*Ben is helping a friend at Bluestem Bistro, Steve, with a great children’s time Tuesday mornings called “Silly Songs with Steve”. If you’re a mom in the Manhattan area, you should bring your kids! Tues mornings at Bluestem Bistro in Aggieville at 9:30am in the conference room or outside on the patio if it’s nice!

*Kate continues to amaze us, and exhaust us.  She is a smart little whippersnapper and she is learning words faster than they come out of our mouths! She is also active as ever and I think we need to go to bed earlier each night just to keep up with her during the day! 🙂 She is the love of our lives and I have to post pictures up here soon so you can see how much she has grown!

*I got to go to Winter Park, CO in May with some close friends and I will be going out there again this week with Ben to celebrate our five-year wedding anniversary! I can’t believe it will be five years (November 26th) since we committed our lives together to God and walking this journey of life hand in hand…Ben and I are going to Denver to tool around the town, visit some friends/cousins of Ben’s, go Whitewater Rafting down Clear Creek, attempt to summit Grays and Torreys fourteeners, and see David Gray and Ray LaMontagne in concert at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, CO! It will be a packed week, but so much fun because I am doing it all with my best friend.

*I bought a pretty nice camera earlier this year and have LOVED using it this summer to take pics for people and events including the ACMI conference in May, Tapas nights at Bluestem Bistro, Kate (of course), family events and showers and I have some future projects up my sleeves…

This is all for now. Pictures to come when I have room to upload them onto this ancient Macbook.
